FAQ

Answers to frequently asked questions.

Daily Parking Ticket

A daily parking ticket is used for paid public parking areas in accordance with the Decision on the organisation and method of parking fee collection. By stopping or parking a vehicle in a paid public parking area, the driver or owner enters into an agreement with the parking organiser for the use of a paid public parking area with a daily parking ticket.
A daily parking ticket is paid by settling the payment order within eight days of its issue, either through the parking organiser's giro account or at the parking organiser's cash desk.
If the user of a paid public parking area does not pay the daily parking ticket within the prescribed period, they are required to pay the daily ticket amount, any actual costs and statutory default interest. If the user does not pay within the given deadlines, the parking organiser will initiate enforced collection procedures.

Parking Payment

Users of public parking areas may use parking under more favourable conditions with a one-hour or multi-hour parking ticket and time-limited parking rules. An hourly ticket is valid for the parking zone and time period for which it was issued.
Ask the seller for a parking ticket for the parking zone you are in. When buying a ticket at a parking meter, insert the amount shown on the meter, take the receipt and display it visibly in the vehicle. The parking meter does not return change.
No.
From the moment the vehicle stops in a public parking area, or from the moment an authorised parking controller observes it, the parking fee must be paid within ten minutes.

SMS Parking

Depending on the parking zone you are in, send an SMS with the vehicle registration plate to 708227 (zone 1), 707101 (zone 1A), 708247 (zone 2), 708248 (zone 2A) or 708249 (zone 3). Wait for confirmation that the parking ticket has been successfully paid.
When the time for which you paid the parking fee by mobile phone expires, you will receive a notification on the same mobile phone. You can then extend the parking ticket in the same way.
The use of the public parking area must be paid through another payment method.

Preferential Permits

A natural person (resident) is entitled to a preferential permit if they have had permanent or temporary residence for at least 12 months in a street where parking is charged, or in streets directly connected to that street, and if they own a vehicle registered in their name or use another vehicle, proven by a valid vehicle registration certificate.
A legal entity is entitled to a preferential permit if it uses business premises in a street where parking is charged, or in streets directly connected to that street, and if it owns a vehicle registered to the legal entity or uses another vehicle, proven by a valid vehicle registration certificate.
If the holder of a preferential permit changes the vehicle for which the permit was issued during its validity period, the parking organiser will replace the parking permit with a new one at the user's request.
A valid preferential permit is a parking permit which clearly shows that it is valid for the vehicle for which it was issued, for the period during which the paid public parking space is used and for the parking zone in which the paid public parking space is used.
In the winter period, from 01.10. to 30.04., the parking organiser provides preferential conditions for the use of public parking areas to all residents who have had permanent or temporary residence in the City of Vodice for at least 12 months, as well as to other users of public parking areas.

Special Rights and Complaints

In all zones, vehicles used by persons with disabilities do not pay for parking in marked disabled parking spaces if the disability parking permit is displayed. In parking spaces that are not marked for persons with disabilities, a user with a disability parking permit may use the parking space free of charge for 60 minutes.
No. If responsibility for damage to parked vehicles were assumed, the parking fee would be higher.
